Brain Dead and Reebok are due to reprise their collaborative relationship later this year. The two, after both a Pump Court and Beatnik, are turning their attention to the footwear brand’s new generation of silhouettes. The ensuing Zig Kinetica II, which was revealed by collaborations lead Leo Gamboa, features a number of loud, psychedelic colors and Kyle Ng’s signature design language.
Unlike past offerings, the Zig Kinetica II seems to lean much closer to its inline counterparts. Brown, mesh materials dress the foundation, overlaid with darker, less saturated browns at the toe, collar, and tongue. Trims of muted, light blue, then, detail the eye stays, matching the adjacent toggle but not the warm-based eyelets. Yellow-hued, abstract embellishments finish the side profile, while the tooling air brushes with neon hits of red and blue.
As of writing this, a release date is currently unknown. It’s likely, however, that these will arrive at Reebok.com and select retailers before the end of the year.
In other news, the Off-White Chuck 70 is restocking later next week.
UPDATE 4/16/2021:
Both colorways of the Brain Dead x Reebok Zig Kinetica 2 “Zigman” will release on April 23rd via Reebok.com.
