Michael Le Often the most grounded of the CdG umbrella labels, Junya Watanabe is continuing to bring a simplistic, contemporary sense to New Balance’s many lifestyle classics. This season, the designer has opted to deal out three different AM574s, each delivered in vastly different colorways.
The core of the construction as well as the choice of material are identical from pair to pair, however. Suedes run throughout the shoe, complemented adjacent by leather overlays, thickened but slim “N” logos, and contrasted flat laces. The midsole design is also shared, bearing white walls and a thick black text at the heel that spells “JWCdGMAN.” Smaller “New Balance” type sits a bit farther up, further branding a pair that very obviously leans towards one end.
