Although everyone seems to rock with chunky trainers, women’s footwear, in particular, has been able to tap into the trend by experimenting with platform soles on classic silhouettes. Following the Lakers-colored adidas Triple PlatForum Lo the Three Stripes released for their “Girls Are Awesome” collection in February, a high-top iteration will be arriving soon in a sleek, off-white arrangement.
The uppers of the offering echo that of the adidas Forum Hi, but with a premium twist. Via a cream-colored tonal approach that has grown in popularity, the pair is constructed of buttery deconstructed leathers with suede overlays that wrap around the heel. Unlike the standard Forum Hi, metal elements are found on the ankle strap and eyestays for a fashionable look possibly meant to mimic straps of a hand-bag. As cleverly informed by the model’s name, the style dares wearers to get on new heights with its triple-stacked rubber sole. The result is a high-top platform sneaker that embraces a modern, luxe aesthetic.
While a release date for the pair has yet to be confirmed, it is likely to arrive at adidas.com in the coming months.
In other news under the Three Stripes umbrella, the adidas ZX 420 is getting festive for the stoner holiday.
