Michael Le Though the “it” collaborator and shoe may change with the times, one thing rings forever true: you can’t beat the classics. And in Nike’s case, few are quite as timeless as the Waffle Trainer II.
Brought back not long ago, the silhouette stays true to the Swoosh’s roots, adding underfoot the waffle sole that put the brand on the map decades back. The upper is equally old school as it deals a simple nylon and suede upper in a simple, universal black. White leather swooshes and heel tabs pair right atop adjacent to the tongue whose slight yellowing, exposed foam, and woven label continue to nod to vintage.
