New Balance Names Aimé Leon Dore’s Teddy Santis Creative Director Of Made In USA

Today, collaborations are no less commonplace next to inline offerings. Sneaker culture, as it currently stands, is more or less defined by these partnerships, quite a few being superficial. However, in the case of New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore, the relationship seems far more genuine, the two working with an obvious, shared admiration that will soon take the next step.

As of April 5th, 2021, Teddy Santis, founder of the aforementioned streetwear label, will take up the role of Creative Director to New Balance’s Made in USA component. The arguable backbone of the brand, the line-up will surely benefit from Santis’ point of view as he’s already had quite the influence on silhouettes such as the 550.

“I was drawn to New Balance for the way it has built a business founded on values such as integrity and authenticity, rather than passing hype,” Santis states. “I see a tremendous opportunity to tell authentic stories with real people at the forefront, creating global campaigns that connect our core values with the world.”

Teddy Santis’ first collection with the brand is expected to launch next year, 2022.

In the meantime, you can enjoy the new Spring Aime Leon Dore New Balance 550s.
