First rumored in early October 2020, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Seafoam” has recently emerged in official images confirming its arrival in kid’s sizing. Newly-surfaced on-foot shots confirm the pair will also arrive for adults in the coming months.
At a glance, the retro resembles a two-tone Nike Dunk, but closer inspection reveals its allegiance to Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker line. For starters, the “Seafoam/Healing Orange/White”-clad option boasts a taller silhouette and slimmer shape from mid-foot to toe tip. Furthermore, tongue labels don “NIKE AIR” branding as they did in 1985, as opposed to simply reading “NIKE” like the other Peter Moore-designed style. Lateral ankle flaps feature the “wings” insignia that debuted on the first-ever Air Jordan sneaker, but instead of delivering stark contrast like it has on previous iterations, the logo blends into its predominantly “Seafoam/White” surroundings. The laces, then, are the only component to indulge in any eye-catching citrus hue, and doing so every so slightly at that.
An official Nike SNKRS release date is unknown, but this Jordan 1 “Seafoam” is anticipated to launch in full family-sizing on August 12th. While you wait, enjoy a closer look at the shoes ahead.
