Michael Le Arguably one of the hottest shoes of the year yet, Aime Leon Dore‘s latest New Balance 550 caused quite the uproar upon reveal. And, post-release, even more so as people grew upset as the Ls hit their inboxes. Thankfully, for those still looking to grab a pair, the Red colorway will re-release at select retailers this week.
A celebration of founder Teddy Santis joining the brand, the capsule signals what to expect from the two hereafter. And while it plays off the original set, the new Spring colorways exude a vintage inspiration just marginally more alluring. Here, the red color only appears in seldom, placed atop the side’s “N” logo as well as the tongue’s woven label. Though it makes sparing appearances below along the tooling, the shade is mostly overshadowed by the full white leather upper, the dark navy accents, and the midsole’s aged feel.
If you’re hoping to take home a W this time, get ready. Raffles are currently going live now ahead of the April 23rd release date.
