CLOT Has Their Own sacai x Nike LDWaffle In The Works

CLOT Has Their Own sacai x Nike LDWaffle In The Works

Though a success in its own right, the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle very evidently pales in comparison to the original: the ever-beloved LDWaffle. And soon, after UNDERCOVER‘s had their turn, the silhouette will change hands over to Edison Chen’s CLOT.

A triumvirate to match that of the aforementioned as well as Jean Paul Gaultier’s, the collaboration comes from a place of mutual respect. In construction, Chitose Abe’s voice avoids distortion, her doubled motifs and abstract form fortunately left intact. But via the colorway, Chen’s input becomes easier to spot, as he opts to mimic the signature palette of his previous releases. Orange and deep reds rival one another along the sole, while the suede overlays dress subtle in a light sand. The Swooshes and tongues, then, mimic the tooling below, gum bottoms finish underfoot, and very faint touches of bright green hit the underside of the eye stay and the brunt of the woven labels.

For a closer look, check the imagery below. At the time of writing this, a release date is unknown, but it’s possible we’ll see these on Nike SNKRS before the end of the year.

In other news, the Yeezy Boost 380 Alien Blue is coming at the end of the month.
