Jasmine Tang Although the Air Jordan 1 KO Chicago has been re-released several times, it hasn’t been seen since 2014. The canvas-clad classic is finally making its return tomorrow, in full Chicago glory.
As with the first pair released in 1986, the design exhibits a color scheme that’s strikingly similar to that of the Jordan 1 OG “Chicago.” The only noticeable difference is the absence of a red overlay on the heel, which has been left bare in white. Elsewhere, the pair goes for an almost wholly canvas build, as signature red overlays are stitched over a white base. To offset the flexible material and nod to the original AJ1, the black profile Swooshes and collar opt for smooth leather. Finally, a red outsole to contrast the stark white midsole completes the highly-anticipated model.
