From the inaugural “Scream Green” colorway to 2003’s “Escape” offering, the Nike Air Huarache has brought back several throwback arrangements this year in honor of the model’s 30th anniversary. The celebration continues as Tinker Hatfield’s design gets the “Deep Magenta” treatment—an OG colorway from 1991.
The Deep Magenta and Aquatone-accented pair doesn’t stray far from the style Michael Jordan rocked during one of the Bulls’ earlier championship parades. White leather dominates the silhouette while bright hues are applied to neoprene elements. Specifically, the soft materials on the tongue and heel are tinted in a teal Aquatone shade, with purple coating the mid-panel and inside. The signature “NIKE”-branded rail at the heel opts for a black, opaque finish on the sides but the back sports a semi-translucent Deep Magenta look. A classic black-on-white Nike Air Huarache logo is added to the tongue to round out the throwback proposition.
