The Air Jordan 1 Mid Spearheads Upcoming “Zig Zag” Collection

The Air Jordan 1 Mid Spearheads Upcoming “Zig Zag” Collection

Historically, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has been the most experimental trim of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker. For its next ensemble, however, the silhouette isn’t revisiting disco ball-reminiscent panels or heat-sensitive overlays. Instead, the shoe has paired a “Shattered Backboard”-like color palette with zig-zag swooshes as part of an upcoming collection.

Set to also include the Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Air Force 1, the forthcoming capsule adds a playful spin to sports-oriented designs. On the newly-surfaced retro, tumbled leather bases and their accompanying overlays indulge in white and black tones, respectively. The underlay around the collar boasts an ostensibly mesh build, and introduces vibrant citrus flair into the mix; branding on the tongue label and ankle flaps follow suit. Profile swooshes up the orange ante as they appear in printed zig zag fashion. Lastly, sole units revert to a “yin-and-yang” appropriate arrangement, while a non-standard, miniature embroidered swoosh appears on the medial heel.
