Animal prints are often associated with bold looks that command attention from others. However, Nike has been able to achieve rather tame styles via its leopard and zebra prints. An upcoming pack of Nike Daybreaks further proves this point, pairing muted shades with the animal-themed spots and stripes.
Similar to models such as the Blazer Mid ’77 the Air Force 1 Pixel, the leopard-print and zebra-print Daybreaks opt for plush soft grey and white uppers, respectively. These minimalist tones are further complemented by the off-white suede lacestays and overlays at the toe and heel. Although things take a slightly wild turn as the suede profile Swooshes and heel tab assume a patterned look, these elements appear to have a faded finish that prevents them from completely deviating from the propositions’ overall muted aesthetic. A waffle outsole, which is tinted white for the leopard print pair and black for the other, completes the heritage-style trainer which has taken on a rowdy yet sleek twist.
