Nike Further Celebrates The Summoner’s Rift With This LPL x Dunk Low

Nike Further Celebrates The Summoner’s Rift With This LPL x Dunk Low

Nike, since as far back as 2019, has shown avid support for the LPL, League of Legends’ largest pro tournament in China. Last year, the brand even provided the event numerous footwear, each packed with 8-bit references and award-worthy color. Here, in likely preparation for the 2021 finals, the brand is dialing up the fanfare, adding their Dunk Low to the already alluring prize pool.

Leaked over a month ahead of time, the pair visually avoids any overt references to LoL or the League itself. The LPL logo only dresses the tongue, sized small as it sits underneath the usual Nike branding. At the heel tab, the embroidery is similarly typical, while the stars adjacent play into the themes of the competition. Swooshes, then, flourish an iridescent finish, matching that of the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT that the 2020 champions now own. This is all laid atop a colorway that’s uncannily reminiscent of the “Solar Red” Air Yeezy 2.

For a quick look at what to expect, see below. It’s likely a limited number of pairs have been produced for the upcoming finals in August.

In other news, the Jordan 3 Racer Blue drops this Saturday.
