Michael Le The year has only grew more eventful with time and Vans is arguably responsible for a great deal of that. In just a short while, the footwear brand has amassed a numerous collaborations, ranging from Patta all the way to Palace. And recently, Japan’s BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS joined the Anaheim-based ranks, adding to the collections new takes on the Old Skool LX and Authentic LX.
The two shoes, outside of their respective shapes, resemble one another in both material and color. This is because every pair is constructed out of USA-made bananas, the color selection vast as it spans deep reds, blues, yellows, blacks, and the like. And with this variety, the label has created three different Authentic colorways, each made even more unique as the fabric itself is cut at different seams. Alongside, the Old Skool LX exhibits similar finishes atop the frame of a more standard canvas and suede arrangement.
