John Kim Nike has gone off on many tangents with the Dunk, applying simple material swaps/additions such as the recently revealed Dunk “Toasty” options as well as the women’s exclusive Dunk High Rebel. Gently returning to its home base is this upcoming Nike Dunk Low with cracked leather overlays in silver, giving the shimmering tone a bit of a weathered and worn look. It’s quite possible that those overlays could flake off and reveal another color beneath, although past Nike releases with the same materials didn’t quite have that feature.
Against the cracked leather is a tighter mesh underlay in white, adding a controlled contrast to the otherwise bold material ooption. The black suede Swoosh also adds a bit of subtlety, with matching heel logos and tongue labels to boot. Finally, a light grey rubber outsole adds a clean sporty look to this eye-grabbing creation, while the white sport mesh lining imply that retro Dunk look.
A release date has yet to be revealed, so enjoy a first look at official images ahead and stay tuned for release details. In other Dunk release dates, the Dunk Low “Camo” is set to release on August 18th.
