Jasmine Tang With 2021 being the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Huarache, the silhouette returned in several throwback colorways including the OG “Deep Magenta.” The purple and aqua color pairing, which Michael Jordan sported during one of the Bulls’ earlier championship parades, will be making a comeback once again—this time on the Nike Air Max 90.
Similar to the Huarache, this Max Air classic indulges in a white mesh base that is complemented by white leather overlays. “Aquatone” makes its way onto the TPU lacestays, heel tab, and Air cassette. This leaves the namesake purple tinting the remaining lacestays and the tumbled leather profile Swooshes. A black leather animates the mudguard and offsets the rest of the model’s vibrant hues. However, all the colors meet again underfoot to complete the ’90s-inspired look.
