In recent years, hiking and trail footwear themes have been making appearances on familiar lifestyle silhouettes. The manner in which different subcultures infiltrate the sneaker scene results in new, creative styles that challenge how we define sneakers. This trend continues with the trail-inspired Nike Air Max 90 Terrascape adding a “Seafoam” pair to its evergrowing roster of colorways.
The Air Max 90 iteration features “Seafoam” gridded nylon uppers that are paired with suede overlays and translucent mudguards in a matching shade. This allows for “Dark Teal Green” to animate the oversized textile profile Swooshes, which extend beyond the sides of the model. As part of Nike’s “Move To Zero” sustainability initiative, recycled materials deliver a speckled look on the heel tab and the midsole. Additionally, the midsole sees a translucent rubber covering that uses innovative Regrind rubber underfoot for added traction. The campaign’s Pinwheel logo is also printed on the insole to complete the eco-conscious, outdoor-friendly style.
Take a closer look at the Air Max 90 Terrascape below, which will be available at Nike.com in the coming months at a price of $150.
