As we await her performance, Osaka has dropped a “US Open” colorway of her NikeCourt Air Zoom GP Turbo that fittingly features travel-related graphics.
The fun design reflects her bold sense of fashion by covering the uppers in acid-wash denim. Black leather lacestays and Swooshes further add a luxe, street-style touch to the Zoom Air-cushioned silhouette. On the lateral side, a “NY” patch represents the location of the 2021 US Open. A Japanese flag is also present to represent her heritage—a common theme amongst Osaka’s footwear. The style continues to embrace her roots by adding a Haitian flag to the medial side. A gold chain lace dubrae completes this grand slam of a design, which refuses to compromise performance for style.
