Jovani Hernandez Over the last few years, the Swoosh has celebrated happiness via its “Have A Nike Day” slogan. For its latest seasonal capsule, the North American institution has prepped a predominantly understated Nike Air Huarache with a hidden message: “Go The Extra Smile.”
Akin to all previous propositions under the “Have A Nike Day” message, the newly-surfaced pair features a modified smiley face on the top of the tongue. “Black” mesh, neoprene and suede materials throughout the upper set the stage for the yellow and orange accents that animate the aforementioned insignia, as well as accompanying branding, inner-lining and heel strap. The collection’s play on the phrase “go the extra mile” runs from vamp to top of tongue, while also appearing on the insole as part of a capsule-specific graphic. Underfoot, Tinker Hatfield’s 30-year-old design opts for a white midsole and light gum brown outsole combination.
An official release date hasn’t been disclosed, but this pair (and others under the same collection) is likely to arrive to Nike.com before 2021 ends. In the meantime, check out official images here below.
