The New Balance 1500 Borrows The Iconic “Steel Blue”

When it comes to his New Balance collaborations, Ronnie Fieg often relies on the “Steel Blue” colorway. And it seems — with the designer’s permission, hopefully — the palette is making a GR appearance atop this upcoming 1500.

In look, the pair resembles most the 992 Fieg dropped back in 2020. NB’s signature grey dresses every instance of suede, while a lighter cream-like shade is found along both the collar and through the profile. Blues, then, accent the side’s “N” logo, part of the tongue’s own branding, and the mesh inserted into the forefoot.

For a look at this subtle homage to the KITH head himself, check below for the official images. A release is currently TBD, but it shouldn’t be long before we sizes appear on NewBalance.com and select retailers.
