Currently in its 33rd year, the Air Jordan 3 has maintained a relatively quiet profile throughout 2021. Before the year ends, however, Tinker Hatfield’s first design for Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker line is set to drop replete with varying camouflage patterns as part of the brand’s winter collection.
Unlike other iterations that’ve been proposed by Jordan Brand over the last nine months, the newly-surfaced pair hasn’t been unveiled with a backstory rooted in #23’s professional or personal life. Yet, the Jordans arrive with refreshing materials, color-blocking and prints, which are both fit for the colder months of the year and welcomed additions to the line’s legacy.
Shades of brown set the stage for grey and green panels across the upper. Although some boast military-inspired patterns, others simply indulge in fashionable and functional detailing like the herringbone detailing on the lateral forefoot. Further differing from other propositions, the forthcoming retro features a Jumpman logo on the heel that’s stamped into the wool overlay instead of embroidered or attached in a protruding manner. Lastly, sole units deliver a semi-yellowed midsole and black outsole combination perfect for winter’s slush.
