Jovani Hernandez Following a release via its own channels, UNDEFEATED has given handfuls of global partners the “green light” to launch the second Nike Dunk vs. AF-1 “5 On It” capsule soon.
As implied by its name, the collaboration reimagines two iconic Nike Sportswear models with five different materials rooted in the “golden eras” that were the 1990s and 2000s. Bruce Kilgore’s classic Nike Air Force 1 is done in a vibrant blue and yellow color scheme that accentuates the crocodile skin pattern, perforated canvas, premium suede, and smooth and patent leather that makes up the pair’s upper. By contrast, the accompanying Nike Dunk Low forgoes any eye-catching hues in favor of an all-black styling. Materials throughout Peter Moore’s ever-popular design, however, arguably make a bolder statement than on the multi-color AF-1. Pony hair, ostrich suede, canvas, nylon and an icy gum sole make their mark on the joint-effort. UNDFTD’s signature “5 Strikes” logo appears on the tongue label and lateral heel, while the capsule’s name is printed on the sock-liner.
