Since 1993, So So Def has been influential in bringing Southern sounds to a mainstream dominated by the East and West coasts. Founded by the legendary Jermaine Dupri, the Atlanta-based label has been responsible for some of the most recognizable names in hip-hop and R&B, establishing itself as a powerhouse in the music industry in the 1990s. Although relatively quiet over the last several years, So So Def’s imprint still remains as it partners with adidas to bring forth some of the earliest launch colorways of Atlanta’s newest superstar in Trae Young.
After a successful launch in early October, the adidas Trae Young 1 is now poised for another drop on November 5th. Two colorways in collaboration with the label are expected, both of which feature a bold pattern on the upper and ample So So Def emblemage on the heels and insoles. Trae Young’s marks appear on the tongue pull-tab, while his insignia sits on the heel-tab.
You can expect both on adidas.com and select retail partners on November 5th for $140 apiece. In other adidas news, check out the Yeezy Foam Runner “Vermillion” set to launch at October’s end.
