It’s crazy to think it’s only been 10 years since Todd Snyder first launched his eponymous label. Whether for his timeless style or the many, many collaborations previously on offer, the designer seems to have been a part of the scene far longer. To honor this legacy, which is sure to continue for years to come, New Balance is joining Snyder for a limited-edition take on the 992.

“New York and its skyline have been a long-standing inspiration for me, and gray has been a signature color in our design since the beginning. So, for our 10th anniversary, I wanted to create a version of the 992 that felt like a favorite room in a skyscraper, a sort of gentleman’s library – a couch, bookshelves, a fireplace and a bar cart.”

Together, the two have distilled luxury onto the silhouette’s many premium materials. Greys both dark and light are applied throughout the shoe, dressing the mesh and suede fixtures. Vegetable tanned leathers, then, accent the lace unit and heel, which stand far out from the more neutral backdrop. Additionally, Snyder has customized the counter with a “2011” and “2021” stamp, further celebrating this incredible milestone.

Enjoy a close-up look at the shoe below. Pairs will be available for pre-order on December 1st, 11am via ToddSnyder.com.
