Jovani Hernandez Over the last few months, NIKE, Inc. has officially (and unofficially) previewed footwear collections prepped for the new year. And while the full scope of plans has yet to pan out, the “Nike Athletic Club” capsule has delivered handfuls of compelling styles, which now includes an Air Max 90 covered in grey suede.
Unlike previously-seen pairs in the collection, the upcoming Air Max indulges in a patriotic-like color scheme, forgoing the muted, tonal styles that’ve dominated the retro-inspired lineup. White-colored leather sets the stage for a medley of hues and materials, with mudguards opting for a grey suede; TPU detailing along the tongue divvy up red and blue looks just like the outsole. Branding across the sneaker switches between heritage and heritage-reminiscent design, with the latter entering the mix via the “nike athletic club” text on the tongue label and sock-liner.
