Michael Le Over the course of 2021, adidas YEEZY expanded on their “MX” series, adding the pattern to silhouettes like the FOAM RUNNER and 350 V2. And come tomorrow, December 22nd, we’ll witness its last appearance of the year courtesy of the latter silhouette’s “MX Rock” colorway.
Due to the shoe’s darker palette, the randomized print appears far less busy. The brown and dark grey lines are neither underscored nor drowned out by the blacks behind; instead, they’re integrated in a way somewhat reminiscent of the YZY QNTM. But unlike the latter, the 350 V2’s usual fixtures — e.g. the pull tab, side stripe, laces, etc. — are given solid color, effectively balancing out the pair’s louder Primeknit.
