Michael Le Though not quite as prevalent as their nods to fruits, Nike has a long-running history of celebrating the humble mushroom. Alongside the more notable Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4, the fungi has also dressed the Blazer Mid, providing it details a touch more literal. And many of these, including the overall colorway, reappear in 2022 by way of this newly surfaced Air Force 1.
Similar to the court classic, the Air Force 1 applies a subtle Ombré to its overlays. The leathers, from the top, start a saturated brown that progressively fades whiter and whiter. Its color never goes fully neutral, though, allowing each panel to stand out against thee fixtures that do, such as the rib knit, midsole, lining, and tongue adjacent. Black also appears atop, coloring in the Swoosh, heel tab, and the many mushrooms that grow nearby.
