The Portland Trail Blazers may not be having the 2021-22 NBA season they expected – thanks in part to Damian Lillard‘s absence – but the team is hoping to reach the Playoffs. As his team continues to put on a commendable effort, the Oakland, California-native keeps delivering new styles of his adidas Dame 8 sneaker, with the latest boasting a series of emojis.
Akin to previously-seen iterations of Lillard’s eighth signature sneaker, the upcoming pair indulges in a predominantly “Core Black” arrangement across the entire of its mostly mesh upper and Bounce Pro midsole. Branding at the profiles and heel, however, interrupt the pitch-dark tonal scheme with a medley of vibrant tones, the lateral 3-Stripes logos going as far as a boasting pink, yellow and purple gradient finish. The shoes’ most eye-catching detailing, however, arrives in the form of playful icons on the top of the tongue and on the medial heel, as crying, angry, devilish and other faces help animate adidas‘ latest basketball sneaker. Underfoot, the multi-directional outsole abandons any inclusion of emojis, but a neon makeup more than makes up for the omission.
Enjoy official images of the sneakers here below, and anticipate an adidas.com launch in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere from the Three Stripes family, the adidas Adimatic – a skate shoe from 1996 – is set to return soon.
