Michael Le Having worked with Nike in the past, Soulland is in no way new to sneaker collaborations. But what the Danish label is doing with Li-Ning is something else entirely, as the two work hand-in-hand for their upcoming “PRE-INTER-POST” collection.
Dubbed in Latin, “PRE-INTER-POST” explores running through a new lens, creating physical product that draws influence from the different phases of running. Specifically, it looks beyond the “during” and focuses in on what lies on its two sides.
Revealed during Copenhagen Fashion Week, the project is essentially a sequel to what came before, iterating on running itself from two entirely different perspectives. This is embodied through both apparel and footwear, the former made up of key GORE-TEX outerwear, winter-oriented vests, and a series of complementary base layers. As for the shoes, the Furious Rider Slide and Ace Claw are seeing their first-ever release, doing so in the Autumn/Winter ’22 range’s neutral color palette. Design-wise, the slide suggests comfort, though in a way subversive like Li-Ning’s finest; the Ace Claw, on the other hand, is far more rugged, built in a way reminiscent of trail-ready offerings.
