Nike Continues Its “NY vs. NY” Series With An Air Force 1 Low Inspired By Famous Basketball Courts

New York City basketball may no longer be in its hey-day, but it continues to produce some of the toughest hoopers in the country. As summer and its leagues inch closer, another Nike Air Force 1 Low “NY vs. NY” proposition has emerged.

Akin to past offerings, the upcoming sneakers are inspired by the various basketball courts throughout the city that have gained legendary status due to their players, tournaments and reputation. Unveiled in Grade School sizing, the Air Force 1 couples black and green tones throughout the synthetic leather and mesh upper, with the latter color calling out to locales such as Dyckman and West 4th. The thematic “NY vs NY” logo appears on the top of the tongue, while sock-liners feature the names of seven tournaments that pop up throughout NYC during the summer. Underfoot, the kid’s shoes boast a clean white midsole, light gum brown outsole combination that injects a touch of lifestyle to the made-for-basketball design.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch ahead of the summer’s start.

Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Jordan 1 “Georgetown” is expected stateside on April 2nd.
