Although the Nike Dunk Low has experienced unprecedented attention over the last four years, the silhouette had been a beloved model for sneaker collectors decades before Travis Scott ever got a collaboration.

Chris Gibbs of Union Los Angeles is one of the countless footwear enthusiasts who used to travel the globe in order to hunt down region-exclusive and vintage pairs of Peter Moore’s 1985 design. Through his boutique’s “Passport Pack” collaboration with the Swoosh, Gibbs has honored three of these releases, including 1999’s Japan-exclusive Nike Dunk High “City Pack.” To make these designs Union’s however, Gibbs and company have covered each pair in a tearable ripstop nylon, and branded them with the boutique’s logos. The “Royal” collaboration inadvertently nods to Los Angeles with its white, purple and yellow color palette, but, as confirmed via the brand’s Instagram account, the last “Passport Pack” Dunk Low to release is an ode to white and purple high-top that dropped exclusively in Japan 23 years ago.

The global launch of the Union LA x Nike Dunk Low “Royal” will go live on March 31st via the Passport Pack website.

Union LA will be raffling off both the “Royal” and “Argon” colorways of their collaborative Dunk Low on 3/26 and 3/27 between 9AM and 3PM. The raffle entry, which will take place at their La Brea location, is reserved only for people who live in LA county. A valid CA ID must be presented. You’ll then receive a raffle ticket, and you must enter the raffle no later than 11:59PM on 3/27. Winners will be announced via email.
