Throughout its 37-year history, the Air Jordan 1 Low has dressed up in dozens of ensembles both rooted in Michael Joran’s legacy and otherwise. For its latest ensemble, Peter Moore’s design has seemingly added a new spin to the high-top’s original “Black Toe” colorway.
Clad in white, red and black, the upcoming Jordans have quickly garnered a “Reverse Black Toe” moniker for the fact that it features pitch-dark panels around the heel instead of the forefoot. Leather overlays around the toe, then, indulge in ruby-colored flair that traditionally landed at the model’s spine. In addition to featuring a modified color-blocking, the latest take on Moore’s decades-old design boasts textured profile swooshes and black laces, which further gives it its own identity. Lastly, the Jordan 1-variant opts for a white midsole, red outsole combination underfoot.
Enjoy official images of the low-top retro ahead (in adult and kid’s sizing), and anticipate a Nike.com launch.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Max 97 is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
