Among one of Nike’s longest-standing collaborators, Stussy has garnered newfound buzz for releases both past and present, from the now expensive Dunk Low to the more recent Zoom Spiridon Cage 2. And this year, the legendary streetwear label is keeping up the momentum with not only an Air Force 1 Mid but also a Converse Chuck 70.
Leaked earlier this month, the team-up takes the iconic silhouette and adjusts it in a number of subtle ways. Though ordinary at a glance, the black upper swaps out the typical canvas for a more breathable material, meaning a Spring/Summer release is extremely likely. Elsewhere, the Converse patch is flipped to the inside, leaving only its stitching visible on the exterior. Stussy, then, embroiders stars onto the lateral side, which joins the branding across the rear hangtag as well as the frontside and backside of the tongue.
