The Nike Air Trainer 1 “Midnight Navy” Makes Its Long-Awaited Return

The Nike Air Trainer 1 “Midnight Navy” Makes Its Long-Awaited Return

As the Nike Air Trainer 1 continues to celebrate its 35th anniversary, it is revisiting some of its debut styles for the special occasion.

Having emerged in its original “Chlorophyll” look earlier in the year, the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette has recently released across Europe in its decades-old “White,” “Midnight Navy” and “Medium Grey” colorway. Suede and leather materials across the cross training-pioneer indulge in the unquestionably 1980s-era color palettes from the Swoosh, with branding on the lockdown strap and spine, as well as the upper most eyelets, deviate in stark crimson contrast. Underfoot, the 1987 creation’s sole unit maintains things simple and original with its greyscale arrangement that’s gone on to inform dozens of swoosh-branded footwear since then.

Enjoy product shots of the pair ahead, courtesy of AFEW, and anticipate a stateside Nike SNKRS release date int he near future.
