Jovani Hernandez Salehe Bembury has quickly become one of New Balance‘s most sought-out collaborators over the last two years thanks to his trail-inspired 574 Yurt design. As part of the partnership’s Spring and Summer 2022 collection, the modified running sneaker is set to drop in a clean “Black/Grey” colorway.
Produced under the “Universal Communication” banner, the upcoming release indulges in all the same design cues as Bembury’s first New Balance 574 proposition from October 2021. Hairy suede and net-like mesh make up the bulk of the sneaker’s upper, delivering added breathability to the highly-popular silhouette. The biggest updates offered by the “Yurt” variant arrive in the form of a chunky, extra-cushioned sole unit and the whistle protruding at the spine. The pair’s understated color palette deviate from some of Bembbury’s past work, including his Crocs Pollex Clog project.
