Jovani Hernandez “Dark Beetroot” styling isn’t new to the NIKE, Inc. family of footwear products, but it’s only recently landed on what may turn out to be its most popular appearance: a Nike Dunk High.
Akin to some of the most iconic takes of Peter Moore’s 1985 design, the upcoming pair indulges in a cool grey base layer, which sets to the stage for the titular “Dark Beetroot” tone. Panels around toe, along the tongue and across the heel appear in the aforementioned, wine-reminiscent color. Other Nike Sportswear models (i.e. Air Max 97, Air Force 1) have indulged in less “Dark Beetroot” styling before, but have drawn sizable attention too. Underfoot, the high-top Nike Dunk keeps things simple with tread a shade darker than the upper’s most prominent color.
