Michael Le Having worked together for the better part of past decade, Ronnie Fieg and New Balance are much more than just collaborators. And with their newest project, a United Arrows-inspired take on the 990v4, the two are celebrating the birthdays of KITH, the 990, and Fieg himself.
The first installment in a four-part series, this 990v4 is Fieg’s way of celebrating United Arrows’ iconic colorway. Alongside pops of pink and purple, the collaboration features a number of details inspired by the original shoe, such as the pony hair accents and extended blacks. Moreover, the construction incorporates a high quality pigskin suede throughout, which is primarily dressed in New Balance’s signature shade of grey.
Four colorways are slated to release over the course of four days. On Ronnie Fieg’s 40th birthday, June 15th, the 990v4 “United Arrows & Sons” will kick things off, hitting KITH locations in fully family sizes.
