The adidas Adizero line has played an important role in what’s been possible in the marathon space. With the help of Parley for the Oceans, the German sportswear behemoth has been able to push the boundaries of sustainable footwear without sacrificing performance.
Designed and manufactured with carbon emissions reduction in mind, the upcoming sneakers feature tried-and-proven LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning underfoot, while the synthetic mesh upper indulges in breathable and durable non-virgin materials. Compared to a previous version of the project, the latest Adizero shoe archives a 42% lower carbon footprint, with sock-liners and outsoles also joining in on the eco-conscious fight. The shoes predominantly revel in a “Grey One” hue, but “Easy Green” and red flair animate the tongue and inner-lining to deliver a stylish performance running product.
