Michael Le Save for the “Girls That Hoop” make-up that dropped back in February, girls-exclusive Air Jordan 5s have been few and far between this year. And there’s only one other colorway expected to join 2022’s Spring/Summer catalog: the “WNBA.”
An unofficial nickname given for the palette’s pops of orange, the “WNBA” starts with a clean white look. The neutral dresses much of the upper’s leathers as well as the adjacent laces, eye stays, and tongue; the netting along the profile is treated similarly as well, though its TPU gives off a more grey-like finish. Then, hot pinks come in along the lining and midsole, the latter of which also incorporates a bright orange along its spikes and tread. Further use of the warm tones appears on the lace toggle, too, further likening the shoe to the similarly-colored WNBA logo.
