With their fifth collaborative collection, STAUD and New Balance are ushering in two new colorways of the XC-72, both of which are inspired by the label’s So-Cal roots and the 80s/90s surf scene.
Despite sharing the same theme, the two pairs are on opposite ends of the color spectrum. One opts for a neutral-dominant look, with white and off-white dressing the silhouette’s suede and nylon construction. And through its lace unit, black strings tie up the shoe with a hit of STAUD branding at their ends. This logo is surely present on the more colorful option, albeit written across white aglets and outshined by a vibrant colorway comprised of blues, purples, reds, and yellows.
