There exists a certain brand of sneaker enthusiasts who are quick to point an X-ACTO knife at their very own sneakers. And among the big names, adidas is one of the most likely to elicit this behavior. Similar to what was done to the UltraBOOST — which was often stripped of its cage — many have taken it upon themselves to tweak the Forum Low, removing the beloved silhouette of its strap.
But if you’re among the more cautious, who favor the look but not their own skill, Wood Wood is providing quite the service, as their collaborative Forum Lows arrive completely devoid of any velcro fastening. The shoe’s simple lace-up closure and co-branded tongue are instead on display, framed by a construction predominantly comprised of leather and mesh. Many of these panels proffer a neutral white finish that’s then outshined by the primary colors that outfit the foxing, stripes, trims, and the like.
Honoring the 20th Anniversary of Wood Wood, as is written in gold across the colorways’ insoles, these Forum Lows are expected to hit retailers on July 20th. For details, images, and links to participating stores, see below.
In other news, the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low is also releasing this week.
