Despite its manufacturing in the United Kingdom, the New Balance 991 has cultivated a cult-like following stateside over the last handful of years. Recently, the Flimby, Cumbria-produced model emerged in a drab green coloorway perfect for autumn.
Akin to pairs produced by Aimé Leon Dore for its Spring/Summer 2022, the newly-surfaced style indulges in a rather reserved look fit for the typical English gloom. Green juice-reminiscent tones take over the premium pig suede and breathable mesh construction that makes up the top-half, allowing for New Balance branding at the profiles and top of the tongue to deviate in contrasting white. Hits of heritage grey also appear throughout the shoe before an off-white midsole rounds out the muted proposition.
Enjoy campaign imagery of the pair ahead, courtesy of 43einhalb.com, and find the shoes arriving to select shops overseas on Thursday, August 18th, at midnight (CEST) for €229.95 (approximately $237.54 USD).
