The Original “Hyper Grape” Hits The Nike Air Huarache

The Original “Hyper Grape” Hits The Nike Air Huarache

Now in its fourth decade of running, the Air Huarache has been sprinkled onto store shelves in sporadic manner, with a random cadence of new colorways and OG models. Part of the latter category is the “Hyper Grape”, an original style from 1991.

Earlier this year, you might’ve seen a similar Air Huarache colorway hit shelves. That pair, however, was a slightly modernized iteration as it featured the Huarache coin logo on the tongue. These stick to the traditional square patch on the tongue, ensuring a truer OG bringback attempt.

Currently, a release date is scheduled for August 23rd, 2022 with an MSRP of $125, but seeing how many of Nike Sportswear’s in-line models have been getting the delay treatment, these could very well be postponed to a later date. For now, get re-acquainted with this cherished OG colorway via the official images below and stay tuned for updates.
