Home of Mardi Gras, New Orleans — or “Nola,” as it’s commonly referred — is a place of extravagance, and Nike is tapping into that very energy for their latest pair of Air Force 1s.
Joined by a Houston-inspired colorway, the Air Force 1 “Nola” is likely a part of a more extensive City Pack, a theme Nike has leaned on many a time in the past. Here, the brand celebrates the Big Easy with a few overt nods. For starters, “NOLA” is written across the heel, its “L” replaced by the shape of Louisiana; what’s more, “504,” the city’s area code, is written immediately adjacent as well as atop the lace unit’s gilded charm. Additional gold details are present across the eyelets and heel tab as well as along the edge of the Swoosh, the latter of which flaunts silver glitter at the lateral side.
Finished with pops of red and more luxe branding, the Air Force 1 “Nola” is likely to release before the end of the year. As we await more information, check out the official images added below.
In other news, the CLOT Jordan Delta 2 is releasing very soon.
