The New Balance 90/60 Returns In Autum-Friendly “Black/Castlerock”

The New Balance 90/60 Returns In Autum-Friendly “Black/Castlerock”

Introduced to the masses via a Joe Freshgoods collaboration, the New Balance 90/60 continues to carve out its segment within the Boston-based institution’s lineup of products.

Recently, the neo-futuristic design appeared in an autumn-friendly “Black” and “Castlerock” color combination. The majority of the shoe’s upper, which draws inspiration from performance-running models of the past, indulges in dark shades of the aforementioned tones, allowing for the New Balance 860v2-informed cushioning solution underfoot to revel in a predominantly greyscale finish. New Balance-branding on the tops of the tongue deviate from their surroundings in vibrant red flair, a design choice that also lands on the diamond-shaped traction detail underfoot. As the 90/60’s co-designer has gone on record having said, the sneaker’s look is “dramatic,” refreshing given the century-old company’s once-widespread reputation as boring.

No firm NewBalance.com release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.

For more “N”-branded footwear, check out the New Balance 990v6 expected to drop before 2022 ends.
