The Nike Air Force 1 Mid React Returns With Purple Accents

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid has taken the last eight months as an opportunity to return in some old school styles. For the remaining months in 2022, the silhouette is taking a break from the familiar to take on new looks like a recently-surfaced option featuring Nike React foam.

While not the first time Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design receives an update to its cushioning, the upcoming Air Fore 1 Mid React delivers the latest, and in an all-new color palette. “Black” takes over the majority of the pair, with off-white-colored mesh panels interrupting around the heel. Lace guards take on a non-standard look, as do the lockdown straps around the ankle. The reworked Air Force 1 features an inner-bootie that promises a more snug, but comfortable ride that couples with the React-cushioning underfoot to further distance Kilgore’s design from its performance-basketball past.

No firm Nike.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. While you wait, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.

In related sneaker news, the Air Max series continues to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
