Premium Goods set up shop in Houston in 2004, offering fresh gear and community to the southern city. Since then, the independent boutique (which also has a location in Brooklyn, New York) has mostly kept to itself. Recently, however, the Swoosh tapped the retailer for a Nike Air Force 1 Low collaboration that spares no details.

At quick glance, the newly-surfaced take on Bruce Kilgore’s decades-old design stands out from the majority of pairs that’ve surfaced over the course of the last eight months, and closer inspection further widens the gap between Premium Goods’ effort and other to emerge throughout the sneaker’s 40th anniversary. A muted black and cream color palette covers the entirety of the shoe, which includes quilted leather panels at the mid-foot, bead-laden profile swooshes and upper heel overlays, and shimmering golden lace dubraes and aglets.

To the uninformed, the Houston shop’s upcoming joint-effort may be refreshing, but it’s par for the course given Premium Goods’ track record. In 2006, the retailer was invited to design a Nike Zoom Kobe 1 that would ultimately release in extremely limited quantities for August 8th of that year. The southern institution ended up having its pair hand-selected by Kobe Bryant due to its theme and attention to detail. The upcoming Air Force 1 demonstrates that win 16 years ago wasn’t a fluke.

No firm Nike SNKRS launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the collaboration ahead.
