Michael Le On the last day of August, leakers unveiled much of Jordan Brand’s Summer 2023 line-up. And joining the return of past offerings — such as the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” and the Air Jordan 3 “Wizards” — is the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green,” which effectively recreates the “DMP” colorway from 2009.
In essence, the pair nods to when MJ scored 63 points against the Celtics during the Playoffs, using the rival team’s signature colors across the entire shoe. According to the available mock-up, black marks the Swoosh, tongue, and adjacent overlays, while white paints the base and midsole. Underfoot, green dresses the entire outsole, matching that of the Nike Air branding above as well as the paneling along both the heel and ankle.
The Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” is expected to release during the Summer of 2023 in fully family sizing. More details and images are likely to surface once the new year officially begins.
