Upon its reveal this past August, the Air Jordan 1 Low “Tokyo Vintage” garnered quite the applause, as its design was easy to liken to the work of Union LA. And now, almost exactly a month thereafter, the excitement is sure to return thanks to the appearance of official images.
Much like Chris Gibbs’ take on the Air Jordan 1, this pair is effectively the combination of two disparate colorways. Here, “University Blue” dresses much of the forefoot, while a matching outsole sits underfoot; grey, then, contrasts behind, painting both the tumbled leather overlays and snakeskin-textured Swoosh. The pop of yellow along the Wings and Jumpman logo are equally reminiscent of the California-based boutique’s work, as the shade often highlights the “UN/LA” tag on every collaborative silhouette.
Rounded out by a white suede base and aged detailing throughout, the Air Jordan 1 Low “UNC Grey” should be hitting retailers soon. As we await a firm release date, take a close-up look at the official images below.
