Most recently employed for Undercover’s collaborative collection of Air Force 1’s, reinforced weather-ready tooling has quickly begun sprouting up across The Swooshes lifestyle silhouettes. Expanding its use of Gore-Tex materials, the Nike Air Max 90 is returning to the textile in an aesthetic akin to a gloomy, cloudy afternoon.
Centered around pitch-dark “Anthracite” that fills the model’s leather vamp and reinforced TPU grid layer of the collar, the presiding midfoot overlays render further dim shades featuring “Midnight Navy” and dark grey accents. Livening the top half of the silhouette, a dominant outfit of “Pure Platinum” illuminates the Swooshes, tongue construction and the horizontally ridged panels of the quarter and heel, working in tandem with a clad white midsole that additionally brightens the overall scheme. After treating the tongue’s GORE-TEX branding in the established navy, a contrasting sky blue provides seldom titular hits along the midfoots reinforced branding and its insoles insignias before concluding through the translucent air bag underfoot.
While no release date has been scheduled for the pair just yet, enjoy official images of the Air Max 90 Gore-Tex “Pure Platinum” below.
